How it works
Add the PDF you want to crop.
Enter how much to trim from each edge as a percentage (0 to 49). Leave an edge at 0 to keep it.
Select Crop and review. Every page's visible area is trimmed by those amounts, then the file opens for review. Download or share it when ready.
Limits
Browser-local. Crop sets each page's visible area (crop box); content outside the crop is hidden, not erased from the file. For permanent removal, use redaction (coming soon). Beta limits: desktop up to 40 MB and 400 pages; mobile devices up to 15 MB and 150 pages. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
Common questions
Is the content of my PDF private when I crop it?
Yes, your PDF content remains private. The cropping process is handled entirely within your web browser. Your file is never uploaded to a server, so it stays securely on your device.
How do I crop the margins of my PDF?
The tool allows you to trim the margins by a set percentage. You can apply the crop to all four sides (top, bottom, left, right) of every page in the document simultaneously to create a uniform look.
Can I crop just one specific page?
This tool is designed to apply a uniform crop to all pages in the document at once. If you only need to crop a single page, you could first use our Split PDF tool to isolate that page, crop it, and then merge it back if needed.
Does cropping reduce the file size of the PDF?
Cropping a PDF does not typically reduce the file size. The tool adjusts the visible area of the pages, but the underlying data is often still present. To reduce file size, you should use a PDF compression tool.
