How your documents are processed

SumoPDF's tools are browser-local (currently: merge, split, rotate, delete pages, reorder pages, insert a PDF, crop pages, add page numbers, add a watermark, images to PDF, PDF to images, and compress). When you choose a file, it is read and processed by JavaScript running in your browser. The document itself is not uploaded to SumoPDF, and we do not receive its contents, its pages, its text, or its file name.

What we do and do not collect

We do not upload, store, or retain your documents. We do not send document names, document contents, page text, generated output, or file hashes to any analytics or error-reporting service.

Ordinary web-server request logs for page and asset loads may exist at the hosting/CDN layer, as for any website. Any product analytics, if enabled later, will be privacy-safe and aggregate (such as which tool page was viewed) and will be disclosed here with its consent behavior before it is turned on. No analytics is transmitted today.

Accounts and payments

The free browser-local tools require no account and involve no payment.

SumoPDF Pro is an optional one-time purchase. Checkout and payment are handled by our seller, Lemon Squeezy (the merchant of record), under its own privacy policy. SumoPDF does not receive or store your full card number. From Lemon Squeezy we receive the order and license information needed to fulfill your purchase.

To sign in to Pro you enter your purchase email. We use it only to verify your purchase with Lemon Squeezy and to send you a one-time sign-in email containing a one-click link and a six-digit code; that email is delivered through our transactional email provider, Resend, under its own privacy policy. We do not keep a customer-profile database: our sign-in records hold only keyed hashes and internal order identifiers, and each sign-in challenge expires within 15 minutes.

Signing in stores only an opaque, signed and encrypted entitlement token in this browser's local storage on your device. A license key is never shown to you and is never kept in the browser; it is used only inside the server. These checks never include your documents, and your PDF processing stays on your device.

SumoPDF for iPhone and iPad

The SumoPDF app lets you open, scan, edit, sign, convert, and save documents on your device. The app does not upload document contents, pages, text, file names, or generated PDFs to SumoPDF servers for these tools. Imported files and results may be copied into the app's local document library so you can continue working with them. Files you export or share are sent only to the destination you choose using Apple's sharing and file features.

The app requests camera access only when you choose to scan. A saved signature is stored on your device in Apple's keychain and can be removed from the signature setup screen. The current document tools do not request your contacts, microphone, or location.

Optional SumoPDF Pro subscriptions are displayed and processed through Apple StoreKit. Apple handles payment and Apple Account information. The app checks verified subscription transactions only to decide whether Pro tools are available. These checks do not include your documents. SumoPDF App Pro and browser-based Web Pro are separate purchases.

The current app has no advertising trackers, advertising identifier use, app analytics, remote document-processing service, or developer document upload. Local documents and results stay on your device until you remove them using the app or Apple's file-management features, or remove the app. Copies you exported or shared remain at the destination you selected.

If you voluntarily email support, Luxx Elegant LLC receives the information you choose to send and uses it to respond and maintain support records. Please do not send sensitive documents or personal information that is not needed for the request. You can contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to legal or security retention requirements.
